The Technology Powering AgroNauts

The Earth Rover 🤖

Our autonomous rover is a mobile soil lab. Packed with IoT sensors, it performs on-site analysis of barren land.

We have built a rover that detects soil moisture and monitors air quality using an Arduino Uno. It collects data from sensors, sends it wirelessly via IoT, and stores it in a database, allowing us to track environmental conditions in real time. Building this rover has given us hands-on experience in robotics and IoT while helping us explore smarter ways to manage soil and the environment.

  • 1Analyzes soil fertility, pH & moisture.
  • 2AI suggests natural restoration strategies.
  • 3Maps ideal crops for the restored land.

Smart Home Hydroponics 🌱

Modern techniques such as hydroponics and aeroponics are efficient agricultural methods that are used to grow fruits and vegetables. Such methods save over $97\%$ of water, and yield crops over $50$ times faster, bringing more with less while maintaining quality. We have designed a powerful innovation that utilizes hydroponics to yield crops rapidly while using minimal water along with a closed-looped water mechanism.

Our IoT-enabled kits bring farming into your home. AI takes care of the hard work, so you can enjoy fresh food.

  • 1Monitors nutrients, water & light cycles.
  • 2AI automates adjustments for optimal growth.
  • 3Grow fresh produce with minimal effort.

Cultivating the Future

AgroNauts is pioneering a sustainable revolution in urban agriculture with AI and IoT.

The Challenge We Face

By 2050, our planet will have nearly 10 billion people to feed, but our available farmland is shrinking. We need a smarter way to grow.

The Water Crisis in Traditional Farming

Every year, over 5.4 quadrillion liters of water are used in farming fruits and vegetables, an unfathomable amount. For comparison, that volume is more than enough to fill the entire Grand Canyon. This critical problem, along with its profound consequences, is often overlooked. In reality, conserving this water could support millions of organisms globally—including communities facing water shortages and species threatened by aridness and changing climatic conditions. In inhabited areas where resources are scarce, residents cannot grow food on their own traditionally as it requires a great amount of resources. Moreover, the amount of water we are using now in farming can actually be used by them; so much water can be saved once we are agriculturally sustainable.
